When a door closes, another opens

There's no easy way to say this so I'll get right to it.

I've been keeping you posted these past couple of months on our progress, and you've probably noticed we've been stuck for a while in the construction part of it.

We finally received more definitive comments from the Fire Department saying that in order to make our space compliant and up to code, it needs many structural changes that are not only impossible to make, but that would also encroach on our dance floor and eliminate our private rooms upstairs.

This was completely out of our hands and the responsibility of our landlord.

Which means only one thing:

We need to find a new home for The Wave Room.

Yep, I was shocked. All I could think about was:

"Now I have to go back to square one."

"All those months of hard work, marketing, meeting clients, out the window."

"All the momentum for us to open in the Fall, gone."

But that is SO not true.

All the support we've been receiving, and just hearing how eager you are to see us open, and see these ideas come to life, is more than enough of a spark to keep us going. I'm especially grateful for this message I received today from my good friend:

"The Wave Room already exists because you've already created it. It's a home and sense of community. The physical place will come soon, trust." - Maria | Zamora Futbol

This is NOT the end. We have been redirected by the universe into something greater, more apt for our use, comfortable, and most of all, safe for everyone.

I'm so grateful for your support and interest, and can't wait to find a better, more appropriate location for this project, and to share it with all of you. I will get back to work now, and keep you updated with our next steps.
